So if they say, I forgot, you can help your child break that excuse
cycle by getting them in the habit of doing it what you ask them right
away.
Or they'll say, hey, it's not my turn. Make sure your child knows that
if they've been told to do something, it doesn't matter whether it's
their turn or not.
Or, it's their fault, it's not my fault. This is an opportunity for
you to walk your child through the episode and help your child see
that they have a choice in how they react in situations in their life.
And I can tell you this works from experience.
My wife has been using the same exercises with me and she says, I'm
getting better!
