Don't Be Afraid to Ask

Remember being a kid and being afraid to ask someone in authority for
help or for a favor, like your teacher or your parents?

I remember one time McDonald's had a deal where if you just went up to
the counter and asked for it, they would give you a free fruit snack.

I couldn't do it.

I'd watch kid after kid, go up there and say, hey, can I get one? And
I could not bring myself to do it. I don't know why. It was
embarrassing, the rejection, whatever it is.

I think I treat God like that, that I'm afraid to ask him for
anything, even as something as simple as, hey, some fruit snacks would
be nice, God.

Ephesians 3:12 says: In Jesus and through faith in him, we may
approach God with freedom and confidence.

You can go up to that counter and whatever your request is, whether
it's something small or it's something big, whatever it is, you can be
confident knowing that God is going to supply your needs.
