Dating can be like craving sushi-flavored Oreos - I heard a pastor say
that the other day:
"The most important Bible verse nobody knows about on dating is
Proverbs 27:7. It says 'the one who is full loathes honey from the
comb, but to the hungry even what's bitter starts to taste sweet.'
In other words, don't go grocery shopping when you're hungry because
that's when things like sushi-flavored Oreos start to sound good.
When your appetite goes up, your standards go down.
If you are not satisfied with your relationship with Christ, you won't
be able to wait for Mr. Right and you're going to end up settling for
Mr. Right now.
Now, you say, it's really hard being single. As a pastor who's watched
thousands of people, let me tell you what's harder than being single.
Wishing you were."
Dating feels like this?
