Dad loved his classic car - until he couldn't afford the mortgage

When you were growing up, your family may have gone through hard
times, but usually, as a kid, you don't notice it.

Julia shared that her family had some tough times recently, and it was
bad because it was to the point where they didn't even have enough to
cover the mortgage.

And so after trying everything, Julia's dad decided to sell his
pristine 1969 Camaro that he took care of, he restored it, he babied
as long as Julia could ever remember.

This car was part of the family.

And so he listed it, and a collector came to look at it, and this
collector was amazed at the detail and how passionate Julia's dad was
about it, just talking about every single little thing that he had
done.

And he said, well, why are you selling this in the first place if you
love it so much?

When the collector heard the story, he said, okay, well, here's $5,000
in cash. I've got the rest of my trunk, I'll be right back.

And the collector walked out the front door, got in his car, and drove away.
