Marie Kondo: A Deeper Life Lesson

I'm talking about getting organized, and I read Marie Kondo's book the
other day.
You know that she's the Japanese lady who came up with the idea of
holding every item in your house and asking yourself, does it spark
joy, and if it doesn't, you get rid of it.
And you're thinking, well, Andy, there's a lot of things in my life
that don't spark joy like that pile of bills, but it's actually
something that's helping me.
It does work.
And the other thing that's kind of powerful is what you do is if
there's something that maybe you bought. She says this in the book.
Even if you bought it, it's a sweater, it doesn't fit, never fit.
You can just hold it and say thank you to it.
Thank it for what it did, even if you didn't use it.
Thank you for reminding me to be more careful with what I buy, and
then you give it away.
So it did serve a purpose.
Everything in our life serves a purpose.
So that's kind of a deeper life lesson too.
